Stig Ahlerot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Hybbert in the 4th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Raaz's Karl-Johan Vestberg got control of the ball when Roland Holmstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Roland Holmstedt took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Karl-Johan Vestberg to make any attempt to save it. Stig Ahlerot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Hybbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Edvard Sjödin hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Morgan Näver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Ahlerot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IFK Söderköping's Stig Ahlerot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Sjöberg in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Raaz's Ivar Åberg got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Lars-Erik Widberg made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Johan Vestberg. FC Raaz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 41 minutes into the match, FC Raaz's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Vestberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Oskar Möller. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Morgan Näver stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olov Sjöberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Stig Ahlerot made a huge save. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by IFK Söderköping's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonny Ahlbeck was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Raaz's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of IFK Söderköping's goalie and right to Charles Hybbert. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. IFK Söderköping's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Charles Hybbert struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Stig Ahlerot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Raaz. After 56 played minutes FC Raaz got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Näver. Karl-Johan Vestberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Oskar Möller in the 63rd minute of the match. Karl-Johan Vestberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Oskar Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjörn Bohlin in the 70th minute of play forced FC Raaz's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Vestberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Raaz booed when IFK Söderköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elof Frykberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Raaz's Fabian Svensson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stig Ahlerot. That made the score 2-3 after 80 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, FC Raaz's Charles Hybbert got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ted Sandwall hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Bengt Markusson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stig Ahlerot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FC Raaz's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
