Björn Jespersson came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tom Berglund could save by the left post. Tom Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Påk in the 15th minute of play. Elof Ahlbeck kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Malcolm Påk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Jespersson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Tom Berglund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 35 played minutes Marieholm got a freekick which was hit by Christer Haström. In the 44th play minute Björn Jespersson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tom Berglund. 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stellan Åström to make the kick off. Malcolm Påk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Berglund having to make a save. After 52 played minutes Näsbyns AIK got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Vennerkvist. After a defensive mix-up in Näsbyns AIK's zone, Björn Jespersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Berglund came out of the goal and Björn Jespersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Haström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elof Ahlbeck's late challenge caught a Marieholm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elof Ahlbeck helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Näsbyns AIK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Elof Ahlbeck hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Björn Jespersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marieholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Björn Jespersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Marieholm's Christian Mårtensson got control of the ball when Tarvi Ruusmaa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Björn Jespersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom Berglund was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Tarvi Ruusmaa in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christian Mårtensson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 74 minutes, Björn Jespersson made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Näsbyns AIK's Tom Berglund tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute Björn Jespersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Näsbyns AIK's Tom Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Jespersson in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Näsbyns AIK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Elof Ahlbeck hit a great ball. Fredrik Vennerkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Tom Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Jespersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Marieholm players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
