Cesare Varglien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timmy Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Isak Wickander kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Alfred Glad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes Empo FF got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Browald. The supporters of Empo FF booed when Valla BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Strömberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Empo FF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valla BF:s goal. Empo FF:s Cesare Varglien showed great skill when he stopped Timmy Strömberg:s penalty. After 25 played minutes Empo FF got a freekick which was hit by Simon Gabrielsson. If Sven Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spike Delamore struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Rickard Jansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empo FF. Pawel Degutis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesare Varglien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Kasper Johnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Carlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cesare Varglien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Empo FF's goal looked a bit too open when Pawel Degutis came free, but Cesare Varglien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Empo FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valla BF were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred Glad to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pawel Degutis in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Varglien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd match minute, Empo FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Glad to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Cesare Varglien successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cesare Varglien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Åke Moberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesare Varglien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Ström in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pawel Degutis in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesare Varglien saved Empo FF from getting behind. Cesare Varglien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven Strömberg in the 84th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valla BF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
