Ottó Nyitrai in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Georg Sandell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 6 minutes of play, IFK Kristineberg's Mark Ahlbom made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Eskilsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evert Eskilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Öman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Göran Öman notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Genarp FK's Evert Eskilsson. Evert Eskilsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of IFK Kristineberg booed when Genarp FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Tham didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Mauricio Lando shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evert Eskilsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Siphokazi Steyn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Evert Eskilsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ottó Nyitrai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evert Eskilsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Öman's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siphokazi Steyn in the 21st minute of play forced Genarp FK's goalkeeper Evert Eskilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ottó Nyitrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göran Öman in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Eskilsson saved Genarp FK from getting behind. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Kristineberg's goalkeeper Georg Sandell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ottó Nyitrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Sandell was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Alfred Back capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfred Back really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ted Björkqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Öman in the 52nd minute of play forced Genarp FK's goalkeeper Evert Eskilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genarp FK's Evert Eskilsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Genarp FK from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Genarp FK's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Öman came free, but Evert Eskilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Mark Ahlbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Eskilsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eddie Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A well-hit corner resulted in Octavian Măgură heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Georg Sandell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Back in the 87th minute of play. Mauricio Lando made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mark Ahlbom. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Ahlbom in the 93rd minute of play forced Genarp FK's goalkeeper Evert Eskilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Verner Eliasson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Kristineberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.
