In the 3rd minute of the match, Vilhelm Forsman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven Josefsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 5 minutes into the game, Hans Malm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kosta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alsterbro the free kick. The supporters of Alsterbro booed when Kosta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Malm didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alsterbro's Juraj Jakubov in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kosta's goalie prevented a goal. Fredric Karlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ture Söderkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Stig-Arne Larsfält ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven Josefsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sven Josefsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig-Arne Larsfält went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Arne Larsfält got free with Sven Josefsson in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kosta's Ture Söderkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Karlberg in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juraj Jakubov in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ture Söderkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Kosta's zone, Fredric Karlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ture Söderkvist came out of the goal and Fredric Karlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ture Söderkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Karlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ture Söderkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juraj Jakubov, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Alsterbro's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Finsberg came free, but Sven Josefsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Juraj Jakubov put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ture Söderkvist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juraj Jakubov in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ture Söderkvist saved Kosta from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kosta's Freddie Finsberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. Sven Josefsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilhelm Forsman's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juraj Jakubov was the one to do the kick off. Juraj Jakubov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Söderkvist having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Kosta got a freekick which was hit by Robin Larsfält. In the 73rd minute, Robin Larsfält hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Juraj Jakubov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ture Söderkvist. Kosta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juraj Jakubov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juraj Jakubov in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ture Söderkvist saved Kosta from getting behind. When Stig-Arne Larsfält came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Kosta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Larsfält couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juraj Jakubov in the 84th minute of play forced Kosta's goalkeeper Ture Söderkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kosta's Stig-Arne Larsfält in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 89th minute, Stig-Arne Larsfält left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kosta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Ture Söderkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Bergfelt in the 92nd minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Kosta could leave the field as winners, despite Alsterbro having more of the ball for most of the match.
