With a little luck, Karlovacko's Jimmie Wennerström got control of the ball when Sverker Vallengren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jimmie Wennerström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Soned, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Söderströms IF defense, Ted Sandberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Törnqvist. The Söderströms IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Törnqvist should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Karlovacko's goalkeeper Jimmie Wennerström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolf Rudkvist. Hugo Törnqvist came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Karlovacko's Tim Böcklund. But to his dismay, Tim Böcklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Tim Böcklund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Törnqvist. Söderströms IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tim Böcklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 28 minutes of play, Karlovacko's Urban Isaksson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Törnqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jens Stor in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimmie Wennerström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jimmie Wennerström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Rudkvist went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the game, Ove Abrahamsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Hugo Törnqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jimmie Wennerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Soned, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Söderströms IF were awarded a corner. Henry Soned went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Söderströms IF's corner Henry Soned fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jimmie Wennerström quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Karlovacko getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Viktor Fernkvist hit a great ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ted Sandberg to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Karlovacko's Hugo Törnqvist threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ted Sandberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jimmie Wennerström came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Söderströms IF's Henry Soned. But to his dismay, Henry Soned quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. 64 minutes into the match, Sverker Vallengren notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Karlovacko's Jimmie Wennerström. Jimmie Wennerström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute Rolf Rudkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Wennerström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmie Wennerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Soned, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Henry Soned's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmie Wennerström was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
