With a little luck, Hillared FK's Robin Vennerlund got control of the ball when Marcus Hedström tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tobias Ekeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Vennerlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Ekeberg in the 21st minute of the match. The corner led IKS Norrköping's Sverker Skröder to fire away a dangerous shot which Robin Vennerlund despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Dahlman got free with Robin Vennerlund in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, IKS Norrköping's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Hybbert came free, but Emanuel Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcus Hedström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robin Vennerlund. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Robin Vennerlund was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Tobias Ekeberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tobias Ekeberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Marcus Hedström came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Robin Vennerlund could save by the left post. IKS Norrköping's Emanuel Sigfridsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Hybbert in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Marcus Hedström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robin Vennerlund. Hillared FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Hedström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Hedström was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Tobias Ekeberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Vennerlund was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Hillared FK's Robin Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Hedström in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, IKS Norrköping's Patrick Rosendal made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Dahlman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Hedström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Vennerlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. If Marcus Hedström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The IKS Norrköping fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when IKS Norrköping's Marcus Hedström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Boris Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Frank Söderkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Sigfridsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
