The coaching staff of Ljungbyholm protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gheorghe Ţopescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Manfred Öberg, was totally fooled by Karlovacko's Rickard Lund, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Fredrik Söderquist struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jimmie Wennerström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljungbyholm. In the 11th minute Tao Shi Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Wennerström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes, Matthias Haglund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ljungbyholm and the Karlovacko players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Ljungbyholm's Manfred Öberg got control of the ball when Ted Sandberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Ljungbyholm's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Sandberg came free, but Manfred Öberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfred Öberg was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Ted Sandberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ted Sandberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ove Abrahamsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Manfred Öberg made a huge save. Manfred Öberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Böcklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tim Böcklund, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Manfred Öberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Ljungbyholm's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Fernkvist came free, but Manfred Öberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ljungbyholm's Tom Fernström got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ljungbyholm's Manfred Öberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Ljungbyholm from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tao Shi Fan made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Söderquist in the 54th minute of play forced Karlovacko's goalkeeper Jimmie Wennerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfred Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Böcklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Manfred Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karlovacko's goalkeeper Jimmie Wennerström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ljungbyholm's Tao Shi Fan got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the last second Jimmie Wennerström throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tao Shi Fan in the 91stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 94th minute, Marcus Högman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
