In the 9th match minute, Portalens FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. Simon Blumentritt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Ruy in the 10th minute of the match. Young boys's Uno Wennerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Forsberg in the 12th minute of play. Aleksander Kinnman kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Johannes Lundblad came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Portalens FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Lundblad couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mikael Forsberg sped through Young boys's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Uno Wennerberg. Uno Wennerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melker Björck in the 24th minute of play. Uno Wennerberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Lundblad in the 26th minute. Mikael Forsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 played minutes Young boys got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Elders. Uno Wennerberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig-Ove Hjortberg went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Mikael Forsberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uno Wennerberg. That made the score 4-1 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Portalens FK's Simon Blumentritt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Ruy in the 62nd minute of play. Uno Wennerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Lundblad, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Mikael Forsberg made a precise shot to the right of Uno Wennerberg. Young boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. After 81 played minutes Portalens FK got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Lundblad. In the 84th minute Mikael Forsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uno Wennerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
