Gustaf Wallmark was shown his second yellow card after 10 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 10th minute, Gustaf Wallmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilhelm Ek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bengt-Åke Carlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Ek in the 11th minute of play. Aðalráður Þórðarson kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A hard shot 16 in the game by Wilhelm Ek from a close distance when the talented Bengt-Åke Carlsson managed to make a qualified save. Gandalfs IF's players were relieved. Wilhelm Eks short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Bengt-Åke Carlsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 38 minutes into the match, Gandalfs IF's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Carlsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uno Bjurström. The audience was convinced that Wilhelm Ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Åke Carlsson was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Gandalfs IF's Bengt-Åke Carlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aðalráður Þórðarson in the 65th minute of play. Bengt-Åke Carlsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilhelm Ek's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Wilhelm Ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Åke Carlsson was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Jonas Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Gandalfs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Ek came free, but Bengt-Åke Carlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Öberg in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Carlsson saved Gandalfs IF from getting behind. If Wilhelm Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81stth minute of the game Wilhelm Ek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gandalfs IF's Bengt-Åke Carlsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Conny Uggla struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Bengt-Åke Carlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fagersta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Öberg in the 94th minute of play forced Gandalfs IF's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Jonas Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fagersta fully deserved thier win.
