Fagersta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OTAB UA the free kick. The supporters of OTAB UA booed when Fagersta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aðalráður Þórðarson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Mikaelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Göran Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Fagersta got a freekick which was hit by Aðalráður Þórðarson. Arne Andberg didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fagersta's Wilhelm Ek shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Göran Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dejan Hamilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Fagersta's Wilhelm Ek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arne Andberg. Arne Andberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 17 played minutes, Fagersta's Nils-Emil Brun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arne Andberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fagersta reached it. OTAB UA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wilhelm Ek 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Wilhelm Ek struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Arne Andberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fagersta. In the 24th minute of the match, Jonas Öberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arne Andberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wilhelm Ek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Arne Andberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Wilhelm Ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arne Andberg was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Arne Andberg was a little too slow when Jonas Öberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 4-0. Göran Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Sander, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute of the match OTAB UA got a corner. Fagersta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lars Hammarberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. OTAB UA's Lars Hammarberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Göran Lindberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arne Andberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilhelm Ek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Wilhelm Ek made the kick off in the second half. Ove Bergdal kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. In the 51st minute, Wilhelm Ek made a precise shot to the right of Arne Andberg. OTAB UA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. OTAB UA's Arne Andberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Öberg in the 54th minute of play. If Aðalráður Þórðarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Andberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Öberg's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Frank Mikaelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Arne Andberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Ek in the 64th minute of the match. When Jonas Öberg came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Fagersta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Öberg couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute Wilhelm Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Andberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pirro Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Jonas Öberg notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of OTAB UA's Arne Andberg. Arne Andberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Fagersta fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Fagersta's Wilhelm Ek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. During the 84th minute of the match Aðalráður Þórðarson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aðalráður Þórðarson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 85 minutes into the match, Fagersta's goalkeeper Göran Lindberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Ove Sander. Arne Andberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conny Uggla went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. If Frank Mikaelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in OTAB UA's zone, Uno Bjurström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Andberg came out of the goal and Uno Bjurström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Ek in the 93rd minute of play forced OTAB UA's goalkeeper Arne Andberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fagersta had played much better football throughout.
