Spectators: 7838 (Terracing: 5880, Seating: 1802, VIP seats: 156) OTAB UA's Jan-Ove Sander started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan-Ove Sander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Håkan Söderberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christian Håkansson took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Andberg. Arne Andberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Aleksander Gabrielsson with Jan-Ove Sander as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Åke Fors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes OTAB UA got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Gabrielsson. OTAB UA's Arne Andberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fors in the 18th minute of play. Aleksander Gabrielsson made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Börje Brun however managed to control. Håkan Söderberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Ove Sander in the 21st minute of play. Åke Fors kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Degerfors IF's Åke Fors in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye OTAB UA's goalie prevented a goal. Håkan Söderberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan-Ove Sander in the 34th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tuncay Cansever made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Tuncay Cansever made a precise shot to the right of Arne Andberg. OTAB UA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. OTAB UA's Arne Andberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save OTAB UA from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Ove Sander in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Håkan Söderberg saved Degerfors IF from getting behind. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Jan-Ove Sander sped through Degerfors IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Håkan Söderberg. Håkan Söderberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Ove Sander in the 73rd minute of play. If Pirro Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Håkan Söderberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Sander, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The supporters of OTAB UA booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Isak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Hammarberg made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Frank Mikaelsson. Tuncay Cansever could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Arne Andberg made a huge save. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Lars Hammarberg with Dejan Hamilton as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jan-Ove Sander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
