Spectators: 7772 (Terracing: 5830, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Åke Fors took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Christian Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Frisk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tom Fridlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Håkan Söderberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Peder Frisk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Åke Fors went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of FiascoAlabama booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Västlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Åke Fors notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FiascoAlabama's Peder Frisk. Peder Frisk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Åke Fors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, FiascoAlabama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Fridlund to maneuver through the defense. FiascoAlabama's Peder Frisk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fors in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's Åke Fors sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peder Frisk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Åke Fors's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peder Frisk was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Karl Falk's late challenge caught a Degerfors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl Falk helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 46 minutes, Åke Fors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Fors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes, Pelle Melberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FiascoAlabama and the Degerfors IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Pelle Melberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Degerfors IF made a substitution. Tuncay Cansever replaced Åke Fors. After 48 played minutes FiascoAlabama got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Melberg. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Fridlund to strike the kick off in the second half. Tuncay Cansever in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Peder Frisk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tomas Klementsson made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Klementsson immediately put the ball in play. Tomas Klementsson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tuncay Cansever might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peder Frisk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tuncay Cansever ran back to his position shaking his head. Degerfors IF's Verner Frykberg was substituted for Christian Håkansson. After a rather tough play, FiascoAlabama's Tomas Klementsson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes in the game, Tuncay Cansever fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Peder Frisk having to interfere. Tuncay Cansever in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Peder Frisk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Peder Frisk made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Tuncay Cansever sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, FiascoAlabama's goalkeeper Peder Frisk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tuncay Cansever. After having played for 85 minutes, Verner Frykberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verner Frykberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tuncay Cansever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Frisk having to interfere. Tom Fridlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FiascoAlabama getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Pelle Melberg hit a great ball. A long shot from Fredrik Isak in the 91st minute of play was well struck, but Peder Frisk made a really good save at the right post. A sloppy throw-in by Lennart Klemensson in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Degerfors IF's Philip Kihlman. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuncay Cansever got free with Peder Frisk in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Degerfors IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FiascoAlabama throughout the match.
