In the 11th minute of the match Ivar Målare shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Hägglund showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ivar Målare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edwin Sjöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Edwin Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romildo Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Hägglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Målare in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Ove Hjortsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Onsala Ass Kickers's Axel Uggstedt tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Ivar Målare notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Onsala Ass Kickers's Thomas Hägglund. Thomas Hägglund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Real Marijuana CF's Romildo Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Sjöberg in the 33rd minute of play. Mikael Berglund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thomas Hägglund came out and tried to block the shot, but Mikael Berglund slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Ove Hjortsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Marijuana CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Onsala Ass Kickers the free kick. After 42 played minutes Real Marijuana CF got a freekick which was hit by Ove Hjortsberg. Edwin Sjöberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kåre Bruhn to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kennet Göransson during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Onsala Ass Kickers booed when Real Marijuana CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennet Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
