But to his dismay, Karl-Ove Söderström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson got control of the ball when Filiph Arvidsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patrick Eliasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mårten Lindberg in the 8th minute. When Gnesta Oilers's Alejo Veliz in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Himna FF's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th match minute, Gnesta Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Mathy to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Eliasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mårten Lindberg in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Mårten Lindberg notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson. Patrick Eliasson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mårten Lindberg in the 31st minute of play. Mårten Lindberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Patrick Eliasson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 35 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Faik Malgır. 38 minutes into the game, Himna FF's Mårten Lindberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Eliasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.

The wind increased when Karl-Ove Söderström made the kick off in the second half. Patrick Eliasson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mårten Lindberg's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Mårten Lindberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Eliasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mårten Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Himna FF's Mårten Lindberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Eliasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. After having played for 64 minutes, Karl-Ove Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gnesta Oilers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Ove Söderström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Söderström in the 71st minute of play forced Himna FF's goalkeeper Henning Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Veliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Nyman having to interfere. When Corneliu Tilea fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Himna FF's protests and gave Corneliu Tilea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Himna FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Tilea to maneuver through the defense. Henning Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Söderström, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mårten Lindberg in the 80th minute of play forced Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Patrick Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Karl-Ove Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Ove Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Filiph Arvidsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Eliasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Mårten Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Himna FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. In the 96th minute, Dave Mathy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gnesta Oilers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
