After 23 minutes of play, Östra Ryd's Percy Penha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sylwester Charlap was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 played minutes Gunnilse IS got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Ove Wennerqvist. Erik Termander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Penha in the 30th minute of play forced Gunnilse IS's goalkeeper Sylwester Charlap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mark Åberg fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunnilse IS's protests and gave Mark Åberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Gunnilse IS got a freekick which was hit by Mark Åberg. If Percy Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pär Ahlström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pär Ahlström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Percy Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Percy Penha came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Östra Ryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percy Penha couldn't finish the play. Kurt Gernberg made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Magnus Fors. If Pär Ahlström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Kristiansson charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rickard Kristiansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Gunnilse IS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Kristiansson to maneuver through the defense. When Pär Ahlström came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Gunnilse IS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pär Ahlström couldn't finish the play. The Östra Ryd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
