After some careless play in the Östra Ryd defense, Alejo Veliz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yiğit Can Altunay. The Östra Ryd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yiğit Can Altunay should have stopped the shot. Percy Penhas short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Patrick Eliasson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Söderström in the 10th minute of play forced Östra Ryd's goalkeeper Yiğit Can Altunay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Karl-Ove Söderström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yiğit Can Altunay. Östra Ryd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Ove Söderström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 15 minutes into the game, Percy Penha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrick Eliasson. Percy Penha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Michael Berg hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gaudencio Stanislao struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Yiğit Can Altunay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gnesta Oilers. When Karl-Ove Söderström came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Gnesta Oilers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Ove Söderström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Veliz in the 27th minute of play forced Östra Ryd's goalkeeper Yiğit Can Altunay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 28 in the game by Percy Penha from a close distance when the talented Patrick Eliasson managed to make a qualified save. Gnesta Oilers's players were relieved. After 30 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Alin. 34 minutes into the game, Gnesta Oilers's Karl-Ove Söderström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yiğit Can Altunay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Percy Penha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Patrick Eliasson 40 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Ove Söderström. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percy Penha in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Eliasson saved Gnesta Oilers from getting behind. Östra Ryd's Yiğit Can Altunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Söderström in the 46th minute of play. The Östra Ryd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gnesta Oilers were winning 2-3.

With 52 minutes on the clock, Michael Berg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 52nd minute, one of Östra Ryd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Östra Ryd. Östra Ryd:s Yiğit Can Altunay showed great skill when he stopped Gaudencio Stanislao:s penalty. In the 61st minute, John Dahlquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gnesta Oilers made a substitution. Alfred Liljeström replaced Claes Thidén. Yiğit Can Altunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Söderström in the 69th minute of the match. Yiğit Can Altunay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Mathy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Östra Ryd's Yiğit Can Altunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Söderström in the 72nd minute of play. Gaudencio Stanislao stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yiğit Can Altunay. 2-4. Gnesta Oilers made a substitution. Ludvig Söderlund replaced John Dahlquist. Alejo Veliz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yiğit Can Altunay firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 89th minute, Gnesta Oilers's Alejo Veliz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yiğit Can Altunay. Yiğit Can Altunay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. 94 minutes into the match, Gnesta Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Penha came free, but Patrick Eliasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yiğit Can Altunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Söderström in the 95th minute of the match. Yiğit Can Altunay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludvig Söderlund in the 97th minute of play. Östra Ryd's Yiğit Can Altunay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Östra Ryd from getting a goal against them. In the 99th minute Dave Mathy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiğit Can Altunay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gnesta Oilers had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
