The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Czeslaw Czajkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leo Nordin's late challenge caught a Åstäppa FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Nordin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gräskungarnas FF's Leo Nordin got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 21st minute Eugen Barbăroșie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Barbăroșie's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Kuno Friedrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Per-Arne Alströmer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kuno Friedrich skillfully saved the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Eugen Barbăroșie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gräskungarnas FF's Kuno Friedrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Gräskungarnas FF's Roy Ånger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Hughes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kuno Friedrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 37th minute of the match. Roy Ånger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Czeslaw Czajkowski to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Peter Örtendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Ånger's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Eugen Barbăroșie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gräskungarnas FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Barbăroșie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kuno Friedrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Örtendal in the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Ånger came free, but Charles Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eugen Barbăroșie fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gräskungarnas FF's protests and gave Eugen Barbăroșie a yellow card for diving instead. Kuno Friedrich had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Peter Örtendal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Roy Ånger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Charles Hughes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Åstäppa FK played a much better game than Gräskungarnas FF and deserved their victory. The Gräskungarnas FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
