A collision led to Orion BK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Victor Beckström hit a great ball. Robert Byström was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Michael Lundin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michael Lundin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Michael Lundin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Robert Byström made a huge save. In the 23rd minute Gotham City were awarded a corner. Victor Ellis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Gotham City's Victor Ellis to fire away a dangerous shot which Robert Byström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Robert Byström made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Arne Wennerqvist sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Wennerström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robert Byström came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Wennerström slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Matteo Tonali reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robert Byström. The goal made the score 4-0. In the 31st minute Daniel Wennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Byström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Ellis made a great header on Gotham City's corner, it was just that Orion BK's Robert Byström managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Michael Lundin put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Robert Byström. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Andersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Daniel Wennerström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Byström was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After 89 played minutes Orion BK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Mager. Jan-Olof Asklöv kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92ndth minute of the game Michael Lundin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orion BK's Robert Byström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matteo Tonali in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Byström saved Orion BK from getting behind. Gotham City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
