With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Pilgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustav Ahlrot succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Roger Pilgren didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. If Torgny Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Pilgren made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Gustav Ahlrot sent off a good shot on target. After 36 played minutes Djurgården IF got a freekick which was hit by Arvin Ljungberg. Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Beck in the 38th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Lindkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Pilgren. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Hedkvist in the 45th minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pål Beck to make the kick off. In the 86th minute, Bertil Askstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
