With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Beck in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingvar Norberg saved Edsbyns IF from getting behind. Ingvar Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Hedkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the game, FC Higher's Esbjörn Sefastsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingvar Norberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Edsbyns IF's Ingvar Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Beck in the 16th minute of play. Ingvar Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Hedkvist in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Pål Beck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Edsbyns IF defense, Max Hedkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingvar Norberg. The Edsbyns IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingvar Norberg should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Edsbyns IF getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Maximilian Rönn hit a great ball. Paul Hammarberg hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Evert Haegg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Roger Pilgren made a huge save. Jan-Åke Nord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jan-Åke Nord managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edsbyns IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Åke Nord was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Pilgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pål Beck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roger Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Åke Nord in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jan-Åke Nord's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Pilgren was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Roger Pilgren came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Edsbyns IF's Evert Haegg. But to his dismay, Evert Haegg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ingvar Norberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Hedkvist in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute Max Hedkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Evert Haegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edsbyns IF's Ingvar Norberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Edsbyns IF from getting a goal against them. Geirharður Guðjónsson charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geirharður Guðjónsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Edsbyns IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geirharður Guðjónsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute Joar Dahlquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Higher's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
