Jan Ekenberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Mean Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Lindström to maneuver through the defense. Casper Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Haegg in the 12th minute of play. Jan Ekenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Edsbyns IF booed when Mean Machine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Lindström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Edsbyns IF's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Berglund came free, but Ingvar Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingvar Norberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jan Ekenberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. Jan Ekenberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Ingvar Norberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom Lindström during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tom Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Casper Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Haegg in the 35th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Evert Haegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Kleen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Åke Nord to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Edsbyns IF got a freekick which was hit by Evert Haegg. Mean Machine's Robin Hultstrand was substituted for Jan Ekenberg. In the 58th minute, Evert Haegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Torsten Berglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Evert Haegg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Kleen. Mean Machine's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evert Haegg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 75th minute, Torsten Berglund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingvar Norberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Edsbyns IF's Evert Haegg got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Evert Haegg off the ground. After some careless play in the Edsbyns IF defense, Henry Alebäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingvar Norberg. The Edsbyns IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingvar Norberg should have stopped the shot. The Mean Machine fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Mean Machine's Henry Alebäck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mean Machine fully deserved thier win.
