Gordon Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Almqvist in the 21st minute of the match. Kong Yuan Sha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aron Hulubei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kong Yuan Sha was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Kura Shetakan's Napoleon Cempa got a free kick in the 51st minute. Bernt Almkvist hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kong Yuan Sha in the 64th minute of play forced Tänndalen's goalkeeper Aron Hulubei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Olof Nordstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tänndalen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kura Shetakan the free kick. A collision led to Tänndalen getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Olof Nordstedt hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Kura Shetakan's Alvin Vestlund got a free kick in the 68th minute. Kong Yuan Sha might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aron Hulubei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kong Yuan Sha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st match minute, Kura Shetakan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elof Samuelsson to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Tänndalen's Gordon Banks threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ingvar Almqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
