Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Jamm Boss FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Peter Björk hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Josef Hasselqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. IF Karlstad Fotboll's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Hasselqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gösta Fransson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Joar Forssell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gösta Fransson. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Dahlquist in the 22nd minute of play forced IF Karlstad Fotboll's goalkeeper Michael Johansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Söderkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Alexander Apelqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joar Forssell struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gösta Fransson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IF Karlstad Fotboll. Gösta Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joar Forssell in the 42nd minute of play. Jens Flink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gösta Lidberg hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Joar Forssell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gösta Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Jens Flink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Jamm Boss FC booed when IF Karlstad Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Hasselqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Hägglund's late challenge caught a IF Karlstad Fotboll's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
