To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gösta Lidberg fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamm Boss FC's protests and gave Gösta Lidberg a yellow card for diving instead. Gösta Lidberg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to IFK United getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hans Vester hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niclas Dahlquist got free with Benjamin Smed in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Johnny Skark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gösta Fransson was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Gösta Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agne Hake in the 32nd minute of the match.
