When Jarl Häger fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Scuderia Ferrari's protests and gave Jarl Häger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Jarl Häger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in IF Karlstad Fotboll's zone, Diego Di Cesare stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Johansson came out of the goal and Diego Di Cesare tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FK Scuderia Ferrari getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fortunato Carota hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Hasselqvist in the 13th minute of play forced FK Scuderia Ferrari's goalkeeper Verner Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joar Forssell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Verner Botvidsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Joar Forssell slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Marc Nyström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Landin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Joar Forssell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verner Botvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Apelqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Marc Nyström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Johansson having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

IF Karlstad Fotboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Scuderia Ferrari the free kick. After 82 played minutes IF Karlstad Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Söderkvist. Isac Skager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Michael Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, IF Karlstad Fotboll's goalkeeper Michael Johansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Skager. Michael Johansson came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Scuderia Ferrari's Isac Skager. But to his dismay, Isac Skager quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. IF Karlstad Fotboll had won after a very even match.
