Johnny Skark hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Benjamin Smed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Flink in the 11th minute of the match. Johnny Skark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Michael Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Apelqvist in the 16th minute of play forced IFK United's goalkeeper Benjamin Smed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joar Forssell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Apelqvist in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Agne Hake ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Johansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, IF Karlstad Fotboll's goalkeeper Michael Johansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agne Hake. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Kvick in the 29th minute of play forced IF Karlstad Fotboll's goalkeeper Michael Johansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Smed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Flink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Börje Kvick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michael Johansson. Börje Kvick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joar Forssell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. IFK United's Benjamin Smed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joar Forssell in the 52nd minute of play. Johnny Skark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Johansson having to interfere. Benjamin Smed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joar Forssell in the 60th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, IFK United's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Apelqvist came free, but Benjamin Smed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, IF Karlstad Fotboll's Daniel Örtendal got a free kick in the 69th minute. After a defensive mix-up in IF Karlstad Fotboll's zone, Johnny Skark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Johansson came out of the goal and Johnny Skark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johnny Skark hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute Alexander Apelqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Smed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 played minutes IFK United got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Gonzo. After 98 minutes, Agne Hake mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK United and the IF Karlstad Fotboll players grew even worse after the yellow card. The IF Karlstad Fotboll players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented IFK United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
