With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xesus Coya in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicklas Matsson saved AIK Spiceboys from getting behind. The Arsenal FC fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Arsenal FC's Xesus Coya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nicklas Matsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xesus Coya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, AIK Spiceboys's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Liljeström came free, but Nicklas Matsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tang Hao Wei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Xesus Coya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIK Spiceboys's Nicklas Matsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AIK Spiceboys's zone, Antón Lackovič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicklas Matsson came out of the goal and Antón Lackovič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, AIK Spiceboys's Stig-Arne Boström threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Charles Ekerot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 36th minute of the match AIK Spiceboys got a corner. Arsenal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tang Hao Wei ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on AIK Spiceboys's corner Charles Ekerot fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stig-Arne Boström quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Grönberg came free, but Stig-Arne Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicklas Matsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xesus Coya, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xesus Coya to strike the kick off in the second half. Sixten Liljeström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Nicklas Matsson made a huge save. Xesus Coya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicklas Matsson having to make a save. 54 minutes into the game, Antón Lackovič lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Nicklas Matsson. In the 57th minute, Einar Åström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Sixten Liljeström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nicklas Matsson made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Valter Lindberg sent off a good shot on target. After 70 minutes, Thor Åkesson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK Spiceboys and the Arsenal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when AIK Spiceboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicklas Matsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valter Lindberg in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Liljeström in the 85th minute of play forced AIK Spiceboys's goalkeeper Nicklas Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thor Åkesson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Gilbert Gallberg kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Einar Åström in the 90th minute of play forced AIK Spiceboys's goalkeeper Nicklas Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AIK Spiceboys's Nicklas Matsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save AIK Spiceboys from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arsenal FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
