In the 9th minute Arsenal FC were awarded a corner. Einar Åström went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Einar Åström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg did a great save. Olle Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xesus Coya in the 11th minute of play. Olle Mellberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xesus Coya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Xesus Coya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olle Mellberg was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Väderstad FK's goalkeeper Olle Mellberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Xesus Coya notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg. Olle Mellberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xesus Coya was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg got control of the ball when Xesus Coya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olle Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xesus Coya in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Sixten Liljeström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenal FC's Prudentio Turiela got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvin Granberg hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Olle Mellberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 80 minutes into the match, Väderstad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Xesus Coya came free, but Olle Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Grassi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Xesus Coya who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Olle Mellberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th of the match, Antón Lackovič tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Olle Mellberg got in the way and made a wonderful save. Stig-Arne Boström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Östen Forsberg in the 92nd minute of play. The Arsenal FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
