Patrik Nord was slow to take the kick. During this time Målsprutornas IF's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Patrik Nord almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Arsenal FC's Stig-Arne Boström did a great save. A collision led to Målsprutornas IF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Salvador Oto hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Xesus Coya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hamnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xesus Coya in the 16th minute of play forced Målsprutornas IF's goalkeeper August Hamnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. August Hamnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Kurt Skog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Arsenal FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Roldanillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Salvador Oto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Arne Boström was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Kim Wästerberg helped the player get up and apologised. Kim Wästerberg hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Arturo Grassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Einar Åström in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Målsprutornas IF's Kurt Skog.
