In the 18th minute Juvenal Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Peixoto in the 19th minute of play forced Väderstad FK's goalkeeper Olle Mellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernan Bernal in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olle Mellberg saved Väderstad FK from getting behind. Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Bernal in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Fernan Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingemar Löfgrens short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Olle Mellberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th minute of the game Göran Tingelholm made a throw-in which Ingvar Eriksson played forward. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edvin Holmgren was the one to do the kick off. Olle Mellberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernan Bernal's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute Ingemar Löfgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stellan Bergstedt in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Väderstad FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. FC Houten Klompen's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olle Mellberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Östen Forsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Väderstad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Bernal came free, but Olle Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Houten Klompen fully deserved thier win.
