Gyllne Hammarn FC's Ian Vidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Gadd in the 23rd minute of play. Håkan Törnqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Ahlbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicco Oolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ian Vidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes, Sydkoster's Petter Larsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ian Vidman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sydkoster reached it. Many of Gyllne Hammarn FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Gyllne Hammarn FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Sydkoster were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
