The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes in the game Lucas Ekström did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Victor Beckeman. After 3 minutes of play, Sydkoster's Victor Beckeman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Broman was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Andreas Burman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Sakarias Andersson fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Majorna BK's protests and gave Sakarias Andersson a yellow card for diving instead. Sakarias Andersson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Victor Beckeman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ernst Gulliksson fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Majorna BK's protests and gave Ernst Gulliksson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sydkoster booed when Majorna BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Gulliksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Gadd took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Broman. Majorna BK's Thomas Broman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Beckeman in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Victor Beckeman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Thomas Broman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valentin Nordin's late challenge caught a Sydkoster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Nordin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sydkoster booed when Majorna BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Nordin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Beckeman in the 39th minute of play forced Majorna BK's goalkeeper Thomas Broman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Vicco Oolo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Thomas Broman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute, Ralf Gadd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Majorna BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petter Larsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Sydkoster's players had a chance to rest. In the 49th minute of the match Sydkoster got a corner. Majorna BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Petter Larsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

John Stål kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ralf Gadd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Broman having to make a save. If Victor Beckeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Jonny Nyqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Törnqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ralf Gadd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Thomas Broman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Sydkoster fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Sydkoster's Ralf Gadd looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thomas Broman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. 86 minutes into the match, Majorna BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Gadd came free, but Thomas Broman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Gadd in the 87th minute of play forced Majorna BK's goalkeeper Thomas Broman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Sydkoster got a corner. Majorna BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Petter Larsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thomas Broman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicco Oolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Victor Beckeman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sydkoster's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Beckeman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Broman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomas Broman made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Victor Beckeman sent off a good shot on target.
