The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If John Löfkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. Tage Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Jonasson in the 7th minute of play. Joar Sjödin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Köttrötterna's goal looked a bit too open when Joar Sjödin came free, but Tage Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joar Sjödin in the 18th minute of play. Göran Browall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Lidberg having to interfere. Änglarna's Torsten Bremming proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Änglarna from getting a goal against them. After 28 minutes Köttrötterna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harry Nyman who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Köttrötterna's goalie and right to Göran Browall. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Köttrötterna's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tage Lidberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Browall, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Änglarna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harry Nyman in the 33rd minute. Tage Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Browall in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Änglarna were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dan Landin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd match minute, Köttrötterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Odeen to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Änglarna's Mats Jonasson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tage Lidberg. That made the score 0-5 after 63 minutes of play. Mats Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Göran Browall recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tage Lidberg. Göran Browall showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When Änglarna's Mats Jonasson in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Köttrötterna's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joar Sjödin got free with Tage Lidberg in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Dan Landin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köttrötterna's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Landin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torsten Bremming breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Göran Browall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Änglarna's goal looked a bit too open when John Löfkvist came free, but Torsten Bremming reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Odeen's late challenge caught a Änglarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jim Odeen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Jim Odeen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Göran Browall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Nyman struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tage Lidberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Änglarna. Tage Lidberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Jonasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Mats Jonasson didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-7 via right post in the game's 94th minute. Änglarna's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Änglarna played a much better game than Köttrötterna and deserved their victory. The Köttrötterna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
