A very good chance for a goal. Granarna's Mattias Valström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Käller in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Tommy Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Valström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Wiktor Qvarnström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Färnäs's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiktor Qvarnström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattias Valström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiktor Qvarnström got free with Mattias Valström in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Patric Elg came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Färnäs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patric Elg couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Christian Skoglund put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bertil Hellgren. After a rather tough play, Färnäs's Bengt-Arne Simonsson got a free kick in the 50th minute. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Färnäs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Konrad Dunajski was slow to take the kick. During this time Granarna's players had a chance to rest. Mattias Valström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Elg in the 57th minute of the match. Färnäs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petter Ryberg in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren got control of the ball when Mariano Gorosti tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Färnäs supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Granarna's performance. The match ended with a win for Granarna.
