Vincent Österberg hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Bertil Hellgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Ekeberg in the 6th minute of play. Schlurp IF's Mats Lindgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Schlurp IF from getting a goal against them. Färnäs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petter Ryberg in the 12th minute. Petter Ryberg made a great header on Färnäs's corner, it was just that Schlurp IF's Mats Lindgren managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schlurp IF's goalkeeper Mats Lindgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrik Wickander during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Färnäs got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Alebeck. Bertil Hellgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Sandström in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Hjortberg in the 35th minute of play forced Schlurp IF's goalkeeper Mats Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Färnäs got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Hök. After 40 minutes of play, Färnäs's Tommy Käller made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mats Lindgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Freddie Sandström hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Henry Hjortberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Lindgren having to interfere. Bertil Hellgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie Sandström in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tommy Käller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Schlurp IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Vincent Österberg hit a great ball. Henry Hjortberg scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mats Lindgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sten Bremming lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 63 minutes into the game, one of Färnäs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Bertil Hellgren, was totally fooled by Schlurp IF's Dick Smefeldt, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Dick Smefeldt took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Bertil Hellgren to make any attempt to save it. Freddie Sandströms short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Bertil Hellgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 80 minutes into the game, Edgar Alebeck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Färnäs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schlurp IF the free kick. In the 80th minute of the match Dick Smefeldt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertil Hellgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Tommy Käller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Mats Lindgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mats Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Käller, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Schlurp IF's Ivar Alebeck got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddie Sandström got free with Bertil Hellgren in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97thth minute of the game Johan Hagström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Schlurp IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
