An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Jonasson in the 12th minute of play forced Färnäs's goalkeeper Bertil Hellgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Änglarna's Joar Billberg got a free kick in the 13th minute. Bertil Hellgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Jonasson in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Joar Sjödin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Hellgren was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommy Käller was the one to do the kick off. Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Färnäs from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Joar Sjödin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren. Bertil Hellgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joar Sjödin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Bertil Hellgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mats Jonasson's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Bertil Hellgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Jonasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Färnäs's zone, Mats Jonasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Hellgren came out of the goal and Mats Jonasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Änglarna's Torsten Bremming played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Hjortberg in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Mats Jonasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bertil Hellgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Joar Sjödin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Bertil Hellgren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Färnäs's goalkeeper Bertil Hellgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joar Sjödin. Bertil Hellgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joar Sjödin in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Änglarna eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
