The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tony Lönn hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When Dan Landin fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Köttrötterna's protests and gave Dan Landin a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Köttrötterna got a freekick which was hit by Dan Landin. In the 9th minute Kurt Wikander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Lidberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Köttrötterna's Tage Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Forsman in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Arne Beck during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Bengt-Arne Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kåre Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Per Lundström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köttrötterna's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Lundström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Andreasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Köttrötterna's Tage Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Forsman in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Köttrötterna's Dan Landin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Andreasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Landin in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Andreasson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Dan Landin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 37 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tobias Andreasson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dala-Floda AIK's zone, Per Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Andreasson came out of the goal and Per Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Per Lundström came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Köttrötterna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Lundström couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sten Hellsing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dala-Floda AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Hellsing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tage Lidberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The Köttrötterna fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Köttrötterna's Kjell Broberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Torbjörn Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Andreasson having to interfere. When Sten Hellsing came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Dala-Floda AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Hellsing couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Sten Hellsing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tage Lidberg. The goal made the score 2-1. With a little luck, Köttrötterna's Tage Lidberg got control of the ball when Morgan Walmarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tobias Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Morgan Walmarsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dala-Floda AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Tobias Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Arne Kellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Köttrötterna's Tage Lidberg got control of the ball when Morgan Walmarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Köttrötterna getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Sven Fredriksson hit a great ball. Sten Hellsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tage Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Köttrötterna's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Hellsing came free, but Tage Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dala-Floda AIK booed when Köttrötterna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Köttrötterna getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Marcus Kilström hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Kåre Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
