Patric Elg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Tage Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dan Landin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Hellgren was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Bertil Hellgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Landin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Landin in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Hellgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Marcus Kilström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köttrötterna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Färnäs the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Köttrötterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Kilström to maneuver through the defense. Bertil Hellgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Landin in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Landin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Dan Landin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Köttrötterna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Landin couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute Torbjörn Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Hellgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren got control of the ball when Dan Landin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dan Landin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Bertil Hellgren made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Bengt-Arne Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tage Lidberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Hök in the 74th minute of the match. Patric Elg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Lidberg having to interfere. If Torbjörn Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
