MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save MAFFIAN from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the game, Hugo Nyman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MAFFIAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helsingborgs IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Hugo Nyman got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Widberg to maneuver through the defense. Stig Enegren hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jan-Erik Hellsing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Edström in the 24th minute of play. Kjell-Arne Hultman made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Aktuğ Olcay sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, Carl Berglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Erik Hellsing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Gustafsson in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Aktuğ Olcay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kjell-Arne Hultman. MAFFIAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aktuğ Olcay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Helsingborgs IF's Jan-Erik Hellsing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Enegren in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Aktuğ Olcay notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman. Kjell-Arne Hultman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig Enegren was the one to do the kick off. Kjell-Arne Hultman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Rolfsson in the 65th minute of play. In the 70th minute Aktuğ Olcay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Hultman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell-Arne Hultman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aktuğ Olcay in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Rolfsson in the 73rd minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Hultman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Helsingborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Widberg came free, but Jan-Erik Hellsing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helsingborgs IF made a substitution. Sören Apelkvist replaced Sten Pil. A collision led to MAFFIAN getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Elliott Beckeman hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Mark Widberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. MAFFIAN's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Widberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Erik Hellsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Heggert. In the 92nd minute of the match Dennis Edström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Erik Hellsing skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Helsingborgs IF had won after a very even match.
