Emerson Fittipaldi was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Gabriel Näfver capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriel Näfver really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Benne Benne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Emerson Fittipaldi made a huge save. Jarl Lang was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Croatia! In the 17th minute there was a penalty for CheersIsland FC. Birger Vollander stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Stellan Drake. 1-1. After 23 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Peter Vase. If Gabriel Näfver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CheersIsland FC's Emerson Fittipaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Näfver in the 28th minute of play. Gabriel Näfver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robert Renan got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jose Manuel González. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Rosendahl in the 33rd minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Stellan Drake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, CheersIsland FC's goal looked a bit too open when 林晨洋 came free, but Emerson Fittipaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Croatia's supporters rose to their feet, but 林晨洋 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Fittipaldi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Jose Manuel González took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Stellan Drake to make any attempt to save it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Croatia had played much better football throughout.
