Spectators: 7861 (Terracing: 5897, Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 156) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabian Fager started the match with the kick off. When Sandhult's Franciszek Wojno in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Martin Billström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Franciszek Wojno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Ralf Rask got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandhult's goalkeeper Martin Billström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hartlepool's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tim Tunberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Sandhult's players had a chance to rest. Martin Billström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Fager in the 29th minute of play. Fabian Fager scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Billström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandhult's Franciszek Wojno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Åke Stål. That made the score 2-1 after 37 minutes of play. 40 minutes into the match, Sandhult's goal looked a bit too open when Hasan Hüseyin Orak came free, but Martin Billström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Hartlepool's Fabian Fager nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Billström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Claes Thorsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Stål read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franciszek Wojno was the one to do the kick off. Claes Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Billström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Fager in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Sandhult getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Mårten Kihlman hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Sandhult's goalkeeper Martin Billström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Rask. The audience was convinced that Franciszek Wojno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Åke Stål was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Franciszek Wojno made a precise shot to the right of Åke Stål. Hartlepool's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 70 minutes into the game, Hasan Hüseyin Orak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Billström. Hasan Hüseyin Orak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fabian Fager hit a great ball. In the 74th minute of the match Tim Tunberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Åke Stål showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hasan Hüseyin Orak kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 78 minutes Sandhult's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hasan Hüseyin Orak who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sandhult's goalie and right to Ralf Rask. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sandhult's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Bengt Blixt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandhult made a substitution. Bror Gabrielsson replaced Franciszek Wojno. 85 minutes into the game, Sandhult's Bror Gabrielsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Åke Stål made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Vincent Stolpe struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Åke Stål didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandhult. Per-Oskar Kilberg hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Gabrielsson in the 92nd minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Åke Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Billström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Fager in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sandhult could leave the field as winners, despite Hartlepool having more of the ball for most of the match.
