After a rather tough play, Murrespor's Jan-Ove Bolin got a free kick in the 13th minute. Aurelio Lano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Växjö fc's Ralph Carey-Bertram in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Murrespor's goalie prevented a goal. After 20 minutes, Jens-Åke Berggren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murrespor and the Växjö fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Murrespor's Jens-Åke Berggren got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match, Aurelio Lano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andréas Bröms was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Andréas Bröms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Qvarnström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Fafinski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilhelm Alebom went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Murrespor getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Niklas Abrahamsson hit a great ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Leonard Qvarnström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murrespor's Andréas Bröms was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th match minute, Växjö fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Hård to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Lano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Andréas Bröms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Qvarnström made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Aurelio Lano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andréas Bröms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Växjö fc's Aurelio Lano got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Växjö fc's Iwan Fafinski got control of the ball when Michael Stolpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 played minutes Växjö fc got a freekick which was hit by Bo Beck. Wilhelm Alebom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Fafinski having to interfere. With a little luck, Växjö fc's Iwan Fafinski got control of the ball when Michael Stolpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Mathias Wik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andréas Bröms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Lano in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Växjö fc's Ralph Carey-Bertram nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andréas Bröms made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. If Marko Knutsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Lano scored 5-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andréas Bröms, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Many of Murrespor's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Murrespor may have spent more time on the ball, but Växjö fc were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
