The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eddie Hedin kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Andréas Bröms made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Jens Björling sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Michael Stolpe sped through Smurfarna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tord Fors. Tord Fors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Stolpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arne Askstedt scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andréas Bröms, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Jens Björling took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Andréas Bröms to make any attempt to save it. Tord Fors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Stolpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andréas Bröms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Gustafsson in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Smurfarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. Anton Strömberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tord Fors. Smurfarna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 42ndth minute of the game Michael Stolpe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smurfarna's Tord Fors was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andréas Bröms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Gustafsson in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Tord Gustafsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andréas Bröms, 5-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

Andréas Bröms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Björling, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes Murrespor got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Wik. In the 56th minute, Jens Björling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Bröms was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. 59 minutes into the match, Jens Björling had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andréas Bröms. Murrespor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens Björling was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Michael Stolpe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Tord Fors when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wilhelm Alebom kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Tord Fors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Bruhn in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Smurfarna getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tord Gustafsson hit a great ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Wilhelm Alebom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murrespor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Alebom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andréas Bröms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Askstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Murrespor's Mathias Wik got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Smurfarna booed when Murrespor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Alebom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Elliott Dalman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Bröms was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-1. There was no doubt that Smurfarna were the better team. Smurfarna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
