He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vänersborg SC reached it. 14 minutes into the match, Esarp IF's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Fågel came free, but Gunnar Albom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Vänersborg SC's protests and gave Holger Holmberg a yellow card for diving instead. Holger Holmberg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Kenny Runeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Albom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Fågel in the 41st minute of the match. Gunnar Albom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Vänersborg SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
