Niklas Rudkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Niklas Rudkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tord Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Hake during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christian Nordal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Niklas Rudkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Ödman's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After some careless play in the Östersunds FK defense, Harry Gunnarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niklas Rudkvist. The Östersunds FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niklas Rudkvist should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Tord Alberg made a precise shot to the right of Niklas Rudkvist. Östersunds FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Niklas Rudkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vänersborg SC's Harry Gunnarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Harry Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bobbo Viking scored 0-5 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niklas Rudkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tord Alberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Östersunds FK's Niklas Rudkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Östersunds FK from getting a goal against them. Bobbo Viking scored 0-6 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niklas Rudkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Harry Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Ragnar Vennersten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stewart Tongs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bo Hake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Tongs having to interfere. Harry Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Niklas Rudkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stewart Tongs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bobbo Viking came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Vänersborg SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bobbo Viking couldn't finish the play. Niklas Rudkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobbo Viking, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tord Alberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th match minute, Östersunds FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Wall to maneuver through the defense. Östersunds FK's Niklas Rudkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Östersunds FK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Alberg in the 89th minute of play forced Östersunds FK's goalkeeper Niklas Rudkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Örjan Magnusson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vänersborg SC played a much better game than Östersunds FK and deserved their victory. The Östersunds FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
