The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Mager showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Robin Alrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aaron Mager made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Nils-Åke Hedström sent off a good shot on target. Robin Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Gbg United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Måns Falck hit a great ball. Bernt Siöman kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Gbg United's goalkeeper Aaron Mager had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kåre Thidén. In the 29th play minute Nils-Åke Hedström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aaron Mager. 1-0. Gbg United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Robin Hansson in the 37th minute. Michael Baba Ba Loua scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaj Hellgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nils-Åke Hedström was the one to do the kick off. Al-Kungshöjd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gbg United the free kick.
