Spectators: 7749 (Terracing: 5813, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) Edvard Martinsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, STHLM södra's Sverker Axelsson got a free kick in the 5th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joakim Fagerberg during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Östra Frölunda! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvard Martinsson in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie Soned saved STHLM södra from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Östra Frölunda's zone, Thomas Case stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Rolfsson came out of the goal and Thomas Case tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, STHLM södra's Attilio Mastrangelo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Rolfsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. STHLM södra's Freddie Soned played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Martinsson in the 31st minute of play. When Edvard Martinsson came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Östra Frölunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvard Martinsson couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Attilio Mastrangelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STHLM södra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Mastrangelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vedad Ibišević might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Rolfsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vedad Ibišević ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddie Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Bolander in the 48th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Case stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. STHLM södra's Freddie Soned proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save STHLM södra from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute, Joacim Hedvall made a precise shot to the right of Freddie Soned. STHLM södra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Edvard Martinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Soned was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Freddie Soned stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvard Martinsson's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Östra Frölunda's Jan Gerdberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Freddie Soned in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Freddie Soned made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joacim Hedvall in the 66th minute of play. Östra Frölunda's Edvard Martinsson got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Edvard Martinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmund Viberg hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Joacim Hedvall took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddie Soned. Freddie Soned dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 87 minutes into the match, STHLM södra's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Ek came free, but Freddie Soned reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Östra Frölunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingmar Kolberg to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Edvard Martinsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Freddie Soned to make any attempt to save it. The Östra Frölunda players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
