Christian Byström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Lönn, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. But to his dismay, John Bennet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Södra Mellby IF's Sven Wickander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Södra Mellby IF from getting a goal against them. Christian Byström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Lönn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Alfred Lönn put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christian Byström. Harry Gunnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Byström having to interfere. Christian Byström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Lönn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, John Bennet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gandalfs Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but John Bennet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Wickander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 37 in the game by Sören Dalström from a close distance when the talented Sven Wickander managed to make a qualified save. Södra Mellby IF's players were relieved. Christian Byström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Lönn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Södra Mellby IF's goalkeeper Sven Wickander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leif Kullgren. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sören Dalström made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Södra Mellby IF's Alfred Lönn got a free kick in the 50th minute. Södra Mellby IF's Sven Wickander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sören Dalström in the 51st minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Södra Mellby IF's goalkeeper Sven Wickander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaf Skräddare during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Södra Mellby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Skräddare to maneuver through the defense. Ulf Söderberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Harry Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Södra Mellby IF's zone, Sören Dalström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Wickander came out of the goal and Sören Dalström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Alfred Lönn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Byström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
