An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Damião in the 2nd minute of play forced Haga IF's goalkeeper Tor-Ivar Storm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Haga IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oliver Carlsson was slow to take the kick. During this time RedBull Antwerpen's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Ivar Wennersten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tor-Ivar Storm was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Ernest Froněk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Lindgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, RedBull Antwerpen's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Froněk came free, but Sebastian Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Rang, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, RedBull Antwerpen's Ivar Wennersten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Tor-Ivar Storm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivar Wennersten in the 33rd minute. Haga IF's Tor-Ivar Storm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Haga IF from getting a goal against them. Ivar Wennersten in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tor-Ivar Storm, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Karl-Michael Lindström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivar Wennersten in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor-Ivar Storm saved Haga IF from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivar Wennersten to strike the kick off in the second half. If Karl-Michael Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Haga IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Högman came free, but Tor-Ivar Storm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivar Wennersten in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tor-Ivar Storm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the match, Haga IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Wennersten came free, but Tor-Ivar Storm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes RedBull Antwerpen got a freekick which was hit by Christer Vester. RedBull Antwerpen's Sebastian Lindgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save RedBull Antwerpen from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute Ivar Wennersten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor-Ivar Storm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valkan Donev fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RedBull Antwerpen's protests and gave Valkan Donev a yellow card for diving instead.
